A funeral mass took place Sept. 28 at St. Aedan’s Church, Jersey City, for Remy (Magat) Lopez. Affectionately called ‘Tita Remy’ by those who loved her, she died Sept. 23 in Harborage Health Care Center, North Bergen. She was born in Pampanga, Philippines. She came to the United States in 1975, settling in Jersey City. She worked for Cusack Care Center, Jersey City and prior to that at Hamilton Park Health Care Center, Jersey City for 17 years. She was the wife of the late Cesar Lopez. Sister of Rose Contreras and Aurora Cajanding. She was the second mother to her nieces and nephews, Tess Englese, Sarah Connors, Ben, Rowell and Arnel Contreras and Belle Quisenberry. She was also a special aunt to the Cajanding Family and all her grand nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
