Funeral services took place April 13 for Richard W. Snyder, 104. He passed away at Fritz Reuter Altenheim on April 9. He was born in New Bedford, Mass. and lived most of his life in Union City before moving to North Bergen 10 years ago. Richard had been a licensed real estate broker and appraiser since 1926. He was the owner of Snyder and Company Appraisers in Union City for 65 years before retiring. He was a member and former president of The North Hudson Board of Realtors, The Realty Multiple Listing System, The Society of Real Estate Appraisers, Chapter 95, The Hudson County Assessors Assoc. and The North Hudson Lions Club. He also served as Tax Assessor from Union City for 18 years and was a member of the State Board of Tax Appeals. Richard was the husband of the late Helen Snyder and is survived by his cousin of Catherine Keens. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
