A funeral mass was offered April 9 at St. Francis R.C. Church in Hoboken for Maria LiCalsi, 85. Known to all as Mary, she passed away peacefully on April 5 surrounded by her family at Hoboken University Medical Center. She was a retired employee of the Dandy Belt Company in Hoboken for many years; and previously employed with Standard Brands Inc. in Hoboken. Mary leaves two daughters, Ann Marie Elgayar and Dolores Othman; one son Thomas D. LiCalsi; and three grandchildren, Ali, Alison, and Jessica and her husband Frank. A great joy in Mary’s life was her great granddaughter Regina Alice. She was also the mother-in-law to Adel, Aly, and the late Regina LiCalsi. A host of nieces and nephews survive Mary, along with a sister and two brothers. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
