Funeral services were held Jan. 29 for Joseph C. Vecchione, 85, of West New York for over 60 years. He passed away Jan. 27 at home. Born in Hoboken, he was a retired carpenter for the town of West New York. He served in the Army in World War II. He was the father of Ramona Murphy and Janice Fortino; brother of Angelo, Ralph, Eric, James and Thomas Vecchione and Rosemary Iervelion; and grandfather of Janelle Falcone.
