Report: NYC ponying up dough for study on extending subway to Secaucus

SECAUCUS AND BEYOND — According to the New York Daily News, the city wil pay up to $250,000 to an engineering firm to see if it’s worth extending the 7 subway line to Secaucus, N.J.
Some have said the line will also run to Hoboken.
The News reports: “Their study is due in three months, which Deputy Mayor Robert Steel said will help show government and transportation agencies in the region whether to go forward.”
The story notes that New Jersey has not committed to any money yet.
