HUDSON COUNTY–County Executive Tom DeGise will give a state of the county address before the Hudson County Freeholders meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28 at the County Administration Annex on Pavonia Avenue near Summit Avenue in Jersey City.
DeGise will be explaining the progress the county has made over the last year and steps the county will be taking to meet the 2 percent budget cap that the state has imposed on local governments for the future.
The county normally introduces its budget each spring. The county budget accounts for a portion of each Hudson County resident’s property taxes, along with the city and schools.
