Commuter ferry fire extinguished with no injuries

HUDSON COUNTY — The Associated Press reported Wednesday morning that a fire was extinguished aboard a commuter ferry in the Hudson River off of Edgewater.
“Coast Guard spokesman Charles Rowe says the New York Waterway vessel Moira Smith was carrying 25 passengers and two crew members. Rowe says there are no reports of injuries. Rowe says the vessel docked at a marina in Edgewater, near the George Washington Bridge.”
