Area bars, residents ready for Jets playoff game

HOBOKEN – Who was happier after the Jets beat the Brady Bunch last week?

A) Rex Ryan, who apparently gets paid by the word

B) Fireman Ed, who gets to keep his title of world’s most annoying fan for another week

C) Hoboken bar owners, who suddenly had Sunday afternoons eclipsing their Friday and Saturday night profits combined

The answer, of course, was all of the above (it’s a subjective question and therefore has no right answer). But for our purposes, C is the most relevant.

This Sunday’s games include the Packers at Bears, 3 p.m., FOX; and Jets at Steelers, 6:30 p.m., CBS are sure to bring more crowds. In fact, one bar, Wicked Wolf, has already been booked since Monday, reservation-wise.

It’s been a horrific winter thus far (and it’s only one-third into the season) with snow you can set your watch to every 96 hours. But while the weather outside is frightful, inside it’s so delightful…At least as long as the Jets continue this improbable run to the Super Bowl.
