The members of the hob’art cooperative gallery present a small works exhibition to the citizens of Hoboken in honor of the holiday season at the Windows on Washington gallery’s present location, 716 Washington St.
Playing Santa during this economic slow down, the members created the original artwork, in a variety of mediums, on 9 x 9 inch paper and are offering each for sale for $50.
The show is open now and closes on Jan. 15, 2011. A reception to meet the artists will be held on Jan. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The venue is open on Friday evenings, 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday afternoons, noon to 6 p.m.

Animated Films Screen at Arts Guild New Jersey. Nineteen short films varying in technique, style, and subject, will be shown Jan. 15, 2011, from 7:30 – 9 p.m.,

BrassWorks presents: “Structural Harmonies: Two Artists Interpret the Nature and Beauty of Man Made Structures.” Ongoing until Dec. 31 at 105 Grove St., Montclair, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday – Friday or by appointment. This two-person exhibition will feature painters Allan Gorman of Monclair and Pro-Arts member Lynda D’Amico of Jersey City. Complementing each other will be Amico’s lyrical cityscapes largely based on scenes from Jersey City and Brooklyn neighborhoods and Gorman’s bold and graphically dramatic paintings of big rig trucks and industrial structures. 20 percent of the proceeds from the sales will be donated to help fundraising efforts of Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
