Confusing parking signs on Hoboken’s Sinatra Drive cleared up

HOBOKEN — Need a place to park tonight for a little while? The “temporary no parking signs” posted on Hoboken’s Sinatra Drive for this weekend say that parking is prohibited for Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4. But City Hall says it’s more specific than that.
Parking is OK until 8 a.m. Saturday morning, said city spokesman Juan Melli, so you can park there Friday night if you move your car Saturday morning. Towing will commence later in the morning. The city is planning a street fair along that road on Sunday.

Meanwhile, as for Sunday, residents are advised that starting at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, July 4, the Hoboken Parking Utility will begin towing vehicles parked along Vezzetti Way (parallel to Observer Highway). ALSO: The taxi stand will be temporarily relocated to Vezzetti Way for July 4.
