Funeral services were held Jan. 27 for Frederick J. Schmidt, 85, of Fairview, formerly of Secaucus. He passed away Jan. 22. “Uncle Fred” served his country proudly in the in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America in Secaucus. He was the brother of the late Richard H. Schmidt Sr. uncle of Glenn, Robert and Richard Schmidt. Great uncle of Robert Schmidt and Andrew Miganio. Services arranged by the Mack Memorial Home, Secaucus.
