BAGLINO, JAMES J

Funeral services took place Jan. 8 for James J. Baglino, 62. He died unexpectedly Jan. 1 at Bayonne Hospital. Jim was born and lived in Jersey City most of his life. He graduated from Dickinson High School of Jersey City in 1965. He began his devotion to his career working in the financial sector on the NYSE. He moved on to work with Wagner, Stott and Co., Bear Stearns, and retired from Lehman Brothers/Barclay in 2008. Post-retirement, Jim spent more time doing things he enjoyed: bicycling, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. Jim was an avid reader, enjoyed playing poker with his friends, writing poetry, and had a true talent in oil painting. But what Jim loved more than anything was to spend time with his pride and joy, his son Jimmy. Jim was a father, a husband, and a true friend. Jim was predeceased by his mother and father Josephine and James “Jimmy Bills” Baglino. Those surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Arlene Baglino of Sea Bright, son James Baglino of West Long Branch, brothers and sisters-in-law Patrick and Angela Baglino and Frank and Sue Baglino, his Aunt Lena DeMarco, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. Arrangements by the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
