Funeral services were held Dec. 31 for Doroteo J. Soler, 80. He passed away Dec. 24 in Miami, Fla. He was born in Cuba and was a resident of Hoboken since 1969. He worked as a butcher in Hoboken at Benitez Supermarket, retiring in 1996. Doroteo is the youngest of nine children and the last one to pass, he is the “last of the tree trunks.” He was the husband of Dalia; the father of Carlos and his wife Jennifer, and Orlando Soler, and the grandfather of Isabella and Marcus Soler.
