Funeral mass took place Dec. 31 at St. Lawrence R.C. Church for Frank Marano, Sr., 81. He passed away Dec. 28 in Hackensack. He was born in Hoboken. He worked as a longshoreman for 52 years for I.L.A., Hoboken and was retired for many years. Frank was a member of the I.L.A., an usher at St. Lawrence R.C. Church and a member of St. Lawrence Senior Citizens Club. He was the husband of Irmagard nee Blaschke; father of Denise Romano, Frank Jr., Barbara Patorniti, Catherine Young and Gary, and brother of Ann Serpico, Louise Tuccillo, Jenny Rutkowski, Mary Matropietro and Patrick. He was the grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of two. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
