Dear Editor:
On behalf of the Jerramiah T. Healy Foundation Board of Trustees, we would like to thank Shop Rite and the Inserra Family for their financial support with our fourth annual holiday food program for needy school families in Jersey City.
In December, with the cooperation of Dr. Charles Epps and the Jersey City Board of Education, Mayor Healy Distributed $200.00 Shop Rite gift cards to 300 needy families. He also distributed an additional $200.00 gift cards to 40 families enrolled in non public schools.
Thanksgiving week we also provided 1100 turkeys to needy families throughout Jersey City.
We also must acknowledge the businesses and individuals who have supported our foundation. Since 2006, our Foundation has disbursed $450,000.00 to our community and their generosity has made it possible. “Thank You”
The mission of the Foundation, a 501C-3 non-profit organization, made of all volunteers, is to provide assistance to individuals, families and non-profit organizations in Jersey City.
I personally want to thank and acknowledge the Board of Trustees for their team support, Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy, Standard Bearer, Joseph Napolitano, Secretary and Treasurer, Patricia Connors, Rich Dwyer, Mary Jean Guadadiello, Lynn Hayes, Neil Hayes, Maureen Healy, Joseph Kealy, Maureen Hulings, Jim Madden, Kevin O’Connor, Judith O’Donnell, Esq, and Mike Ryan.
