Census Bureau to talk about census on Jan. 6 in Bayonne

BAYONNE — The United States Census Bureau’s road show is coming to Bayonne’s City Council Chambers on Wednesday morning, Jan. 6. A large Census Bureau trailer will park outside City Hall between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. The Census Bureau will conduct an informational program in the Council Chambers at 10 a.m. The visit is part of an educational campaign by the Census Bureau to promote participation in Census 2010. Mayor Mark A. Smith, City officials, students from Philip G. Vroom School, and others are expected to attend the event. The Census Bureau’s road show will be visiting other New Jersey communities this month to promote filling out the 2010 census form, which is expected in mailboxes in March.
