Kerasotes ShowPlace opens 14-screen theater in Secaucus Friday

ShowPlace 14, part of the Kerasotes movie chain, will make its debut in Secaucus this Friday.
The Kerasotes Showplace replaces two smaller Loews AMC theatres previously located at Harmon Meadow. The new state-of-the-art theatre is the final piece in the redevelopment of the Harmon Meadow development. It will serve as one of the anchors in making Harmon Meadow the area’s premier location for shoppers looking for convenience, wide selections, low prices and an unbeatable array of shopping and dining choices.
Stadium seating – which allows for unobstructed viewing – and digital projection screens will be available in all ShowPlace auditoriums, and RealD 3D technology has been included in four.
“Zombieland,” “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in 3D,” and “Law Abiding Citizen” are among the films that will be shown when the theater opens for business Friday.
“Throughout history, people have consistently turned to the movies as an escape, during times of economic hardship,” said Secaucus Mayor Richard Steffens. “Not only is Kerasotes going to be good for business in Harmon Meadow, it’s going to be a much-needed diversion in these challenging times-and I expect a popular pastime as the economy grows stronger.”
Customers will be able to purchase and print ShowPlace tickets online through Fandango.com. Kerasotes will offer free refills on all popcorn and drink sizes at ShowPlace and offer its Five Buck Club, where customers can buy $5 tickets to select movies, as well.
The theater also includes a party room that can be rented for birthdays, meetings, or other celebrations.
