Running for NJ State Assembly in the 31st District

Dear Editor:
I’d like to introduce myself as the Republican candidate for New Jersey State Assembly in District 31. As you know, this is a big election year in New Jersey, when we choose a governor and a whole new State Assembly. My opponents are Asm. Anthony Chiappone (D-31) and his running mate Charles Mainer.
November 3rd will be an interesting election for District 31, as both sitting Assemblymen in have been indicted and suspended from their respective positions.
It is a difficult thing to run as a Republican candidate in such a strong Democratic district, but it is still vitally important that voters be given a choice. With unemployment in Hudson County over 11%, failing public schools, and high taxes, this district is rapidly becoming a less and less desirable place to live. Current leadership has done little to reverse that trend. I’ve included a commercial that I created addressing some of these issues: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uASqYW1El-Q. My running mate, Marie Day, can be reached at mfrancescaday@yahoo.com. We appeared together on local cable access here in Jersey City recently with the Independent candidate for State Assembly, Omar Dyer: http://www.talkingpolitics.net/. I’d be happy to answer any questions that you may have. Thank you for your consideration.
