Funeral mass was offered Oct. 7 for Reverend Deacon Leon Johnson of the Roman Catholic Church and a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He passed away Oct. 4. He was the husband of Dorothy James; the father of David, Kenneth, and the late Gregory Johnson; the grandfather of Keilena, Darnell, Suhayla, Tamer, Johnson, and Alicia Thacker, and is survived by his sister Constance Eastwood and brother John, and the late Louise Funderbuck, Enid Gelespie, Leslie Moss, Kurtis, Robert, and Richard, and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
