A funeral mass was offered Oct. 2 at Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City, for Joseph P. Cappoli. He passed away Sept. 28. Joseph was a life-long resident of Jersey City. He was employed by Erie Lackawanna Railroad for 18 years as a trackman. He retired in 1983. From 1984 to 1993, he was employed by Jamesway, Secaucus. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was also a mailman for Inter-office Delivery. He was the husband of the late Margaret; the father of Joseph M. and Anthony J. Cappoli; the son of the late Antonio and Pasqua Cappoli; the brother of the late Ida Jankowski, Benedict (Benny), Enrico (Duke) Julia, Salvatore, George, Dominick (Hymie), and Lucille (Mitzi) Cappoli. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by A. Scatuorchio and Son Funeral Home, Jersey City.
