Secaucus resident Hellen Escobar, her daughter Lizeth Gonzales, and her husband, Luis Chuguicondor, volunteered recently in the gardening program at Liberty State Park.
Hellen is a member of the Beta Alpha Phi Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at Hudson County Community College.
They participated in the program with other volunteers from the chapter: Safiatou Fridman, Mayra Londono and her daughter Lissette Villalta, and friends Kevin Loayza, Taylor Mackey, Rosa Lopez, Qian Xie and her daughter Sitian Zhang, Kreetika Gupta, Alvynn Washington, Mouhamadou Ndiaye, and Ted Lai. q
