NEWLY SWORN IN –

Jersey City Fire Director Armando Roman was sworn in as the 49th President of the annual Jersey City Puerto Rican Day Parade and Festival at Puccini’s Restaurant on March 1, 2009. President Roman stated that this year’s parade is dedicated to “A Greener Earth” and all will devote their efforts to preserve our environment. Roman was sworn in by Honorable Superior Judge Severiano Lisboa, Congratulating President Roman are from left to right, Councilmember William Gaughan; Organization Public Relations Frank Pabon; Congressman Albio Sires; Sheriff Juan Perez; Mayor Jerramiah Healy; Women’s Organization President Nydia Lopez; Aide to the Freeholders Phil Kenny; Newly Sworn President Armando Roman; Councilmember Peter Brennan; Council President Mariano Vega, Jr.; Freeholder Eliu Rivera and State Senator Sandra Bolden Cunningham.
