Dear Editor:
Congratulations to our Boys 6th Grade Basketball Travel Team in winning the Air Force Bergen County Championship. Head Coach Bob Jernstedt, Assistant Coaches Mike Coley and Jack Sallustito did a magnificent job in leading these boys to the first championship of its kind.
The team effort was a solid one. They were determined to win, even though the odds were against them. They were “Scrappers” who never gave up. Every shot, every loose ball was a challenge. They truly deserved to win this championship.
Accolades to Zachary Camacho; Johnny Jernstedt; Tom Eckert; Sean O’Brien; Josh De Jesus; Kush Shah; Austin Medina; Genaro Montanez; Devon Postel and Mike Grecco for an outstanding job well done!
I also would like to thank the parents, friends and all who supported these boys during these tough games. We became one big “family”, and I want the team to know that we sincerely are proud of them.
