Boston Market in Hoboken closes, but they want to explain…

An interesting press release we got today:

“I wanted to let you and your readers know that the Boston Market at 422 Washington Avenue in Hoboken closed on March 29 [this past Sunday]. This store closing is not an indication of financial health of the company. Boston Market does have a strategy for long-term growth, and there is no reason to think it wouldn’t locate additional restaurants in the area in the future.
“There are other Boston Markets within five miles, and more than 550 Boston Market restaurants around the country. The closest restaurants in your area are at 271 W. 23rd Street, New York and 885 10th Avenue, New York.
“At the present time, Boston Market Corporation is not franchising. We do however anticipate launching a new corporate franchise program sometime in the future. If you have further questions regarding new real estate locations being considered, please contact Kevin Petru at 303-216-5190 or kpetru@bost.com.”
