Ribbon cutting ceremony for Giovanni D’Italia Shoe Repair

Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for Giovanni D’Italia Shoe Repair on Thursday, March 12, 2009. The store is located in Newport at 121 River Drive. The mayor stressed the importance of this type of local-owned business to the surrounding community. In the current economic environment, the shop offers a cost effective service that extends the life of already owned items and makes them look like new. In addition to shoe repair, Giovanni’s provides leather bag and jacket repair, cleaning and conditioning. A large variety of shoe care products are also available. The knowledgeable staff of Giovanni D’Italia are proud to provide quality work and great customer service: “Definitely a Work of Art in Each Pair.”
