MITCHELL, ANITA (OLSEN)

MITCHELL, ANITA (OLSEN). Visitations for Anita Mitchell, 72, were held Dec. 14 at Greenville Memorial Home in Jersey City. She died Dec. 11 at Prospect Heights Care Center, Hackensack NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mitchell was an X-Ray Technician for Montclair Orthopedic Group for 15 years before retiring. She was on the Board of Directors Society of X-Ray Technicians. She sang with the Richmond Choral Society and played the saxophone and clarinet. In 2001, she received the “Outstanding Mother-in-Law of the Year Award” from the Women of Substance Ministries in New York. She was gifted with her hands as an accomplished artist, specializing in tooled leather. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Richard Mitchell; five children, Richard, Anthony, Rev. Deborah, Linda Tselentakis, and Walter; nine grandchildren, Elias, Christine, Amanda, Grant, Scott, Chantell, Emmanuel, Anthony, and Victoria; and two great-grandchldren, Lindsay and Leeanna.
