This summer, Hobokenites had a dazzling array of choices for outdoor entertainment on our waterfront. From pop music to Shakespeare, there was something for everyone. As producer for the Pregones Theater Summer Stage presentation in Hoboken, I had the pleasure and privilege of working with extraordinary people to add a unique option to this cultural mix. This year, as we have come to expect from Pregones for the past seven summers, we were treated to an original play dealing with a universal theme. The arts are a powerful unifying force, and it is a blessing to work with great people to promote the Latino arts, especially those with roots in my native Puerto Rico.
Thank you to my partners, sponsors and friends: The City of Hoboken, especially Geri Fallo, Sandra Ramos, Tom Foley and John Pope; Councilwoman Beth Mason; David Unger and The Hudson Reporter, Janice Weiss, and everyone who helped spread the word and was part of the audience. See you next year!
