Dear Editor:
I want to personally acknowledge and thank Clarendon School Principal Deidre Ertle and the parents of the Clarendon School children that participated in the Public Service Announcement (PSA) filmed recently by 2007 Super Bowl Champion NY Giants defensive end Justin Tuck at the Secaucus Public Library and Business Resource Center. When Justin chose the library as the backdrop for WPIX Channel 11 to film his PSA to promote reading and literacy, he asked to have a few youngsters join him in the shoot. Ms. Ertle and the Clarendon School youngsters quickly responded. I was also pleased that the library was chosen as the filming site to promote reading, something that is a part of our daily goal.
The PSA is airing during the 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and the 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. time slots from Monday through Friday. I encourage residents to take a moment and see our local youngsters on TV with Justin Tuck.
