I would like to thank Director Carmelo G. Garcia and Councilman Christopher Campos for their efforts this past week in dealing with the record-breaking flood. Not only did we witness the Councilman directing traffic and making sure the North Hudson Sewage Authority equipment got down to Jackson Street but we also saw Chris Campos, Carmelo Garcia, HHA workers and volunteers get together and clean the streets personally of all the garbage that was floating on Harrison Street.
Their actions turned a very difficult situation into an opportunity for employees and residents to come together. Regardless of whatever is said about the flood problem in our ward, people’s actions speak volumes louder than their words.
Very truly yours,
