Keep the good times coming

Dear Editor:

Reading all the recent rhetoric on the subject of the May 14th election, I have decided to join the fray. I have lived in Weehawken for a very long time, and I have seen good times and bad times, and believe me, this is one of the good times. Weehawken has never looked better.

WIN’s campaign literature contains some good ideas, (some of which are already in progress). What I don’t see is how all these things can be accomplished immediately, nor do I learn how they will be paid for. We know that inevitably the waterfront will be developed, and that there will be changes, but I do believe that Mayor Turner and our present government have done all they could to make these as painless as possible. The mayor has always been highly visible and very ready to listen to anyone’s concerns.

Promises, promises — I think I’ll stick to what I know. The Weehawken and You team has a good record and, importantly, experience!

Let’s all get out and vote on May 14th!
