Here’s a solution for the next voting fiasco

Dear Editor:

I think in our haste to blame someone for the inaccuracies and irresponsible reporting of the projected polls, done by the TV networks, we should first blame ourselves! This happens when we cooperate by revealing for whom we voted to the news media.

Maybe we don’t realize that the “pollsters” invade our right to privacy by asking for whom we will vote, or even worse, for whom we voted.

If citizens refused to allow their right to voting privacy to be invaded, the major networks would be unable to discourage so many millions from voting, by announcing winners before polls close or while people are still waiting to vote.

Solution: No exit polls — no projections!

And, counting votes only after they become official!
