‘We know that you are there to help our children’

To the Editor:
Nancy Ruane told the parents of Mary J. Donohoe School that she stayed late at the school. On Jan. 7, my son Shawn left some books at school. It was a snowy day, and at 7 p.m., I did not think anyone would be at the school to let us in. But I decided to try. Principal Ruane answered the door and greeted us in a very professional way, and allowed us to get Shawn’s books.
Shawn was uncomfortable going to the school, but because Principal Ruane was very professional, he felt at home. Thank you, Principal Ruane, for being there, and for your dedication. We know that you are there to help our children.
