Laurence E. Parisi Installed as AIA-NJ President Elect at Annual Awards Dinner

Laurence E. Parisi, AIA, was installed as president elect of the American Institute of Architects’ New Jersey chapter (AIA-NJ) at the organization’s annual awards gala held recently at Carl Icahn Laboratory at Princeton University in Princeton, N.J.

Parisi was among nine AIA-NJ officers installed at the event, which also celebrated the top achievements among architects and architectural companies throughout the state with service and design awards.

Parisi is the owner and president of Laurence E. Parisi P.C. Architects, located in North Bergen, N.J. Parisi has over 40 years of experience and specializes in the design and development of educational, municipal, residential, health care and commercial facilities.

Parisi is founder and chairman of the AIA-NJ Homeland Security Committee and is state coordinator for the AIA National Disaster Assistance Program. Additionally, he served as a member of the N.J. Department of Community Affairs’ best practices group for construction and building security.

Parisi received his bachelor’s degree in architecture from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in Manhattan. He is also a graduate of the Institute of Design and Construction in Brooklyn. He served as an adjunct professor of design at NYIT while also teaching summer sessions in Rome, Italy.
