A funeral mass took place Jan. 28 at St. Aloysius Church for Mary Langon, 97. She passed away Jan. 24. Mary was born in New York City and resided in Jersey City for 90 of her years before moving to Neptune several years ago. A retired telephone operator for N.J. Bell, Mary was a lifetime member of the Communication Workers of America as well as the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a longtime communicant of St. Aloysius Church and a member of the St. Aloysius Rosary Society and Senior Citizens. Mary was predeceased by her husband James Langon; mother of James and wife Shelia, Kevin and wife Kathleen, Anthony and wife Joanne; sister of Catherine Thomaier and the late Rose McGivern and Anna Johnston; and grandmother of Erin, Michael, Caitlin and the late James.
