Holy Family wins first place in national Lego contest

BAYONNE — Christine Ellis, a teacher at Holy Family Academy in Bayonne, won first place in the high school category of the Lego Smart Creativity Contest. The challenge was to create a classroom lesson about renewable energy that used LEGO elements to construct an object students would be studying.
Ellis, who submitted a project called “Solar Panels,” was one of 20,000 entrants from around the nation. Entries included all grade levels from all subject areas.
