Popular author treats NB students

Reads story about friendship, inspires students to write their own stories

Students don’t often get to have a popular children’s author read them a story, but last Friday 100 Kennedy School students had Jane Lovascio, a West New York resident, read to them her popular book, “Casey and Bella go to Hollywood!”
The story is about the friendship between a Jack Russell Terrier and a Yorkie and their travels to new places.
Every year Lovascio hosts an annual contest for students to collaborate with her. Some students’ ideas may wind up in the next book in the series. Some of the proceeds of the books go toward local charities.
“Our students truly enjoyed her presentation,” said Superintendent Robert Dandorph.
