NORTH BERGEN – North Bergen Police finally got their chance to officially charge Frederick V. Agodon, 33, of Ridgefield on Wednesday after Teaneck Police arrested him last week, according to the North Bergen police.
He was charged with robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Agodon was arrested by Teaneck police last week after allegedly committing robbery at a gas station in that town. He is believed to be responsible for a string of robberies in North Bergen, Little Ferry, Teaneck, and Ridgefield Park.
Agodon allegedly stabbed two North Bergen gas station employees with a 4-inch knife at the Gas and Diesel station at 1008 Tonnelle Ave. at 1:50 am during an attempted robbery on Jan. 6, according to police. The cashier, who refused to hand over the money, was treated for stab wounds to the face, while the attendee was stabbed in the chest. The attack was caught on surveillance video and released to the press and other police stations.
