Needy residents can get free food, baby supplies, screenings Saturday

HUDSON COUNTY — The Dvine Konektion Community Development Corporation is holding an event this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to provide area residents in need with food and supplies.
Residents from the towns of West New York, Guttenberg, North Bergen, Union City, and Weehawken are welcome to come to 5516 Jefferson St. in West New York this Saturday to receive a “bag of love” – a bag of groceries that contains staples such as cereal, rice, and pasta. There are also baby bags available, with diapers and baby wipes, for families with infants and toddlers.
Those who wish to receive groceries should bring a photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) and a utility bill verifying their address.
During the day, free medical screenings will be available compliments of the North Hudson Community Action Corporation’s Mobile Health Unit.
Dvine Konektion Community Development Corporation is a non-profit organization and accepts financial donations as well as donations of non-perishable food and baby supplies. They also welcome volunteer support. Please call (201) 617-4484 with any questions.
