A funeral mass was offered Feb. 26 at St. Francis R.C. Church in Hoboken for Vincenzo Visaggio, 91. “Jimmy” passed away peacefully on Feb. 22 in the presence of his family. Born in Molfetta, Italy, he served in the Italian Navy for eleven years. A resident of Hoboken since 1951, Vincenzo had a great passion for cooking and sharing his table with many friends and neighbors. He was a retired carpenter for Union Drydock and a member and past president of the Madonna Dei Martri Society. He will be missed by his wife Rosemarie; four sons, Philip, Vincent Jr., Frank and Antonio; two daughters Gina Rose King and Teresa Visaggio. A joy in his life were his grandchildren Kristina, Philip Jr., Victoria, Anthony, Vincenzo, Lea, Nina, Nicole, Frank Jr., Antonio Jr., Gianna, and Gabriella; and his six great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother Nicolantonio and sister Giovanna Paris. Vincenzo also leaves his children’s spouses Antoinette, Jennifer, Charles, and Teresa who all played an important part of his life. Predeceased by his mother and father Teresa (nee: Racanati) and Felice; along with three late sisters Vincenza Leo, Filomena DePalma, and Rosa Pischettola. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
