Funeral services were held March 11 for Edward Johns, 59, of Laurence Harbor. He passed away March 8 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick. Edward was born in Jersey City, where he lived until 1990, when he moved to Laurence Harbor to raise a family. Edward was a retired fire fighter for Jersey City Engine Company 11. He was predeceased by his parents Elmer and Margaret Kennedy Johns and his brother Russell Johns. Edward is survived by his and wife of 26 years, Evelyn P. Walsh Johns, his children Edward C. and Debra Johns, his brother George J. Johns and his wife Ruthann of Old Bridge, and many nieces and nephews.
