JACKSON, RUTH

Funeral services took place March 18 for Ruth Jackson, known as “Ruthie.” She passed away March 6. She was born in Jersey City to Mildred Hampton-Jackson Washington and Roy Jackson. Ruthie was a life-long resident of the Woodbridge Development Center for education and was autistic/musically inclined. She enjoyed watching television and one of her favorite hobbies was spending time putting together jigsaw puzzles. Ruthie leaves to cherish her memory two first cousins and guardians, Gertrude Schrader and Juergen Schrader, New York; three first cousins, Gerald Govan, Ethel Govan, and Navis Harris, all Jersey City; and Annette Hampton-Hodges, residing in Aberdeen, N.C.; and a host of cousins and friends. Ruthie was preceded in death by both parents, and her first cousin, George Govan. Services arranged by the Watson Mortuary Service, Jersey City.
