FBI searches three Jersey City jewelry stores

JERSEY CITY — Ashu Jewelers, 814 Newark Ave.; Raja Jewelers, 820 Newark Ave.; and Nikita’s Inc., at the corner of Newark and Liberty, were searched by the FBI on April 6., according to NJ.com.
Witnesses said that some agents were wearing jackets that indicated they were part of the Cyber Crime Task Force. Jersey City police officers kept the public from either entering the stores or looking inside.
The JCPD would not comment on the incident. FBI Special Agent Bryan Travers would not confirm any of the details of the story other than to say that the FBI “executed a search warrant.”
