A funeral service took place March 31 for Joan M. Blake, 77. She passed away peacefully at the Bayonne Medical Center on March 28. Joan was born in Cressona, Pa., and spent her life in New Jersey, most recently in Jersey City. She was a retired switchboard operator for the Bayonne Hospital, where she worked for 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was the mother of Debra Peel and her husband David, Frederick Blake and his wife Donna, Bobbie Dillin and her husband Scott, Kim Radumski and her husband Thomas, and George Rivera; grandmother of eight; and great-grandmother of two. She is also survived by two sisters. Services arranged by the G. Keenen O’Brien Funeral Home, Bayonne.
