Hoboken ‘Movies Under the Stars’ 2011 lineup announced

HOBOKEN – The city released the 2011 “Movies Under the Stars” lineup Tuesday and the first film is less than a month away.
A film series in Pier A Park which takes place throughout the summer, “Movies Under the Stars” is presented by the City of Hoboken, and co-sponsored by Projected Images of Hudson County and the Hudson County Division of Cultural Affairs.
Pier A Park is located downtown on the waterfront, near the New Jersey Transit Terminal.
All movies begin at 9 p.m. throughout June and July, and between 8 and 8:15 p.m. in August. The seating is first come, first served, so movie goers are encouraged to arrive early and bring a blanket or low-back chair. Alcohol consumption is not permitted. In case of rain, movies will be rescheduled to Aug. 17 and Aug. 24 at 9:30 p.m. following the regularly scheduled movie.

June 15 – True Grit (2010) – 9 p.m.
June 22 – The Fighter (2010) – 9 p.m.
June 29 – Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961) – 9 p.m.
July 13 – The King’s Speech (2010) – 9 p.m.
July 20 – The Social Network (2010) – 9 p.m.
July 27 – Waiting for Superman (2010) – 9 p.m.
August 3 – Wizard of Oz (1939) – 8:30 p.m.
August 10 – Despicable Me (2010) – 8:15 p.m.
August 17 – Tangled (2010) – 8 p.m.
August 24 – Toy Story 3 (2010) – 8 p.m.
