Woman arrested in brutal Union City home invasion

UNION CITY — According to media sources, an arrest has been made of an East Orange woman who is believed to have been the getaway driver for two people involved in a brutal home invasion in Union City, according to Union City Police Chief Charles Everett.
The police have leads on the two men they believe were involved in the robbery. The police found spent rounds and live rounds in the apartment and a firearm magazine in the building, they said. They believe one on the men may have been shot, and are checking local hospitals.
Yesteday afternoon a man and his young daughter were duct taped during a home invasion in Union City. The man sustained cuts to the head but the young girl did not sustain any physical harm.
The 18-year-old alleged getaway driver is being held with bail set at $250,000 at the Hudson County Jail in Kearny, NJ, reports said.
