HUDSON COUNTY — The woman who allegedly left her 1-month-old baby girl on the steps of Weehawken High School last week is a special education teacher at Memorial High School in West New York, according to newspaper reports.
So far, the 37-year-old mom has not been charged with a crime. She’s at Jersey City Medical Center undergoing psychological evaluation, according to a report on NJ.com.
Officials have said the baby has a fractured skull, but they do not know how she was injured.
The woman went on family leave from the school two months ago, the story said.
No information has been made public about the baby’s father.
