Thanks for the help

To the Editor:
I recently had the honor of organizing and performing a service project that would help me attain the rank of Eagle Scout. My project idea was to refurbish an underused field at Bayonne Little League that would be used as a T-Ball field. I would like to take this opportunity to extend a sincere thank you to the generous donations given toward my Eagle Scout project by Control Demolition, Inc.; Assemblyman Jason O’Donnell; Mama Rosa Cucina and Pizzeria; Resnick’s Hardware; and IMTT.
This project would not have been possible without a lot of hard work from a few dedicated volunteers. Great thanks go to Michael Whitney, Thomas Cotter, Joe Spangler, John O’Brien, Joseph DelGuidice, Ian Gill, Andrew Burbank, Shawn Burbank, Philip Whitney, Michael Whitney, and Olivia Whitney. I would also like to thank Mr. Bruno D’Avella, commissioner of Bayonne Little League, for allowing me to complete my service project at a place where I had learned to play baseball myself. We, together as partners as well as a community, were able to better an important part of the City of Bayonne.
Now the Bayonne Little League has a fully functioning T-ball program. The children can learn the basics of America’s favorite game in a safe and family friendly environment. I truly appreciate the spirit of giving and thank all of the people that have supported me and helped me to complete this project.
I would like to also thank my Scout Master Lynn Burbank and all of my leaders and members of St. Henry’s Troop 35 for guiding me in the true spirit of scouting.
Last but not least, I would like to thank my parents and my grandparents for all of the support they have given me during this project and always. I consider myself very lucky to be surrounded by all of these individuals that inspire me to do good deeds and continue working hard to do the best I can for myself and for my community. I will always be grateful for all of your support in helping me achieve one of my most important goals.
Have a great season. Play ball!
