Funeral services took place June 25 for Rafael Angel Lugo, 68. He died June 20 at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem, Pa. Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, son of the late Hortensia (Diaz) and Antonio Lugo Mangual, he lived in Massachusetts before coming to Jersey City 35 years ago. He was a warehouseman in the trucking industry. He was a U.S. Army veteran during peacetime. He was the husband of Irene Fields Lugo; father of Ester Henderson; father-in-law of Michael Henderson; stepfather of Emily Randall, Karen, Terrence and the late William and Stephen Beale; brother of Hector, Angie, Candida and the late Jose Antonio, Angel L. and Julio Lugo and grandfather of six. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
