UNION CITY — Mayor Brian Stack and the Board of Commissioners of Union City will hold its annual Independence Day festival on 43rd street from Bergenline Avenue to Park Avenue Thursday evening.
The event will include activities for kids, musical entertainment by local music band Papo Ortega’s Cubanson, rock band Union Hill, Plastiq Passion, Just Listen, and Latin musical group Rummba Y Fuego.
City Historian Gerard Karabin will host a town history exhibit and town Art Curator Amado Moran will feature work by local artists. A classic cars exhibit will also be featured. The Union City Boxing Club will be holding demonstrations.
Light refreshments and food will be served at the free event.
