FIGUEROA, ANTONIA

Funeral mass was offered July 16 at Saint Joseph’s Church, Hoboken, for Antonia “Carmen” Figueroa, 74. She passed away at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, to the late Julian Hernandez and Carmen (Marrero), she lived in New York before moving to Hoboken in 1965. She was a retired seamstress and most recently was employed as a cook at the Hoboken Multi Service Center, retiring in May. She was predeceased by her husband Juan Figueroa and children, Santiago “Greeneyes” Rodriguez, James Davila, and Lissette Figueroa. She was the mother of Miriam Hernandez, Edwin Davila, Hector Fraguado, Awilda, John, Ricardo, Maritza, and Aracelis Figueroa; sister of Nelly Proud; and grandmother of 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Services arranged by the Earl F. Bosworth Funeral Home, Hoboken.
